Action tips: Take shoes, a hat and gloves and dress up. Talk about body parts and what clothes you wear on them. Show your baby what happens when you cover a body part.
See if your older child can do the actions
by putting clothing on and off.

Action tips:
Touch your child all over his body as if you
are pulling syrip off him! It may be fun to
do some messy play tactile activities such as `painting’ with butterscotch pudding or jelly before singing this song.

Action Tips: With straight arms, open and close to “snap” for the crocodile. “Fly” using arms as wings. Jump like a frog. Lift your child up in the air and “jump” him up and down like a frog.

Action Tips: Put your child on your knee and bounce him to the rhythm. At “boom” open your legs and let him gently fall down.

Action Tips:  Hold onto each others hips and make a train. Move slowly as the train goes up the hill and fast when it goes down. Hold your baby and let him feel you moving fast and slow, pretending you’re a train.

Action tips:  Happy – move around happily by bouncing and jumping and smiling. Sad – look sad and move slowly. Cross – Frown and stomp, move with your child. Show your different facial expressions to each other, and talk about the feelings we have.

Action Tips: Walk on tippy toes, walk with big bold giant steps, walk with wibbly wobbly wangly steps. Hold your baby as you do the actions, or let your older chidl try out the steps himself. This is great for consolidation of concepts such as big, small etc.

Action Tips: Tip your child upside down. See if he can go on all fours with his head on the floor, and lift a leg without falling over.

Action tips: Encourage your child to imitate your actions, or listen to the words and do the actions himself. Let him take his teddy and do the actions with teddy.

Action tips: Move the fingers from up high to down low to make raindrops.
Pat on the floor at `plip plop plopping’.  Jump up and down to pretend you are jumping in the puddles.

Action Tips: Make yourself big by stretching arms and legs out. Become very small, tall and lay low etc.

Spots stripes and springs and things are what I like!

Action tips: With your pointer finger draw ‘spots’ on your child’s feet and body. With your fingers ‘draw’ stripes on your child’s hands & body. Bounce your hands gently on your child’s head.

Action Tips: Help your child by letting him imitate your movements. Move your baby’s limbs for him. Try out other body parts touching body parts and see if you can copy each other.
